PTO News and Notes

Welcome to the Parent- Teacher Organization at United Community Schools! Our goal is to work together to build strong working relationships among parents, teachers and the school, in support of students.  We organize many events throughout the year like the Back to School Potluck, Trunk or Treat, Movie Night, plan teacher appreciation activities and much more.  As a fundraising entity at UCS, the parents in the PTO raise funds for everything from class field trips to materials & curriculum for the classroom. We are fortunate to be a PTO with the ability to influence which items are funded and we work with the principal, Mr. Salmon, to determine what will benefit the school most!

Local school PTO meetings serve as venues for discussions about a variety of educational issues.   We hope you’ll join us on the first Thursdays of the month at 6:30 in the South Building/ Media Room to help us answer these and other interesting issues- plus snacks are always provided!  In the meantime, join us on our Facebook forum (current parents, teachers and staff only please) to connect and get up-to-date!   We look forward to hearing from you soon!
